Multiderm Frequently Asked Questions
The Multiderm utilizes a patented soft metal paddle oscillation system which, in a massage-like fashion, actually allows the practitioner to exfoliate, infuse and act as a pretreatment protocol for laser or IPL hair, skin or vascular procedures.
How many treatments are required in the program?Initially six treatments spaced one week apart and then a follow-up every 1-3 months thereafter.
How long does each treatment take?Two minutes on the forehead. Two minutes on the right side of the face. Two minutes on the left side of the face.
Can I wear makeup immediately after each skin treatment?Yes. In fact, your makeup may adhere much better following a Multiderm treatment.
What skin care is required following a Multiderm treatment?Your skin care specialist will advise you on follow-up skin care instructions.
Are there any contra-indications?Yes. Open lesions, pregnant women and pre-treatment for fractionated CO2
Can I have a Multiderm treatment with other skin treatments?The Multiderm is an excellent source of pre-treating a patient prior to performing conventional aesthetic procedures such as removal of unwanted hair, skin rejuvenation, removal of age and brown spots and vascular lesions.
Is Multiderm safe for all six skin treatment types?Yes. All skin types Fitzpatrick I-VI are able to be treated with the Multiderm.
